STEP-2: Precision 3D Modeling (CAD)
Once the concept is approved, our engineers translate your idea into a highly precise 3D model using state-of-the-art jewelry CAD software. This isn't just a rough sketch—it is a mathematically accurate digital blueprint engineered for perfect structural integrity, stone security, and comfortable everyday wear.
Design & Modeling: Utilization of specialized software like JCAD or Rhino to manage dimensions, stone settings, and metal weights. Creation of detailed CAD models based on sketches, photos, or concepts.
Rendering: Generation of realistic images, allowing clients to view and approve the design before production.
Production-Ready: The CAD file (often in .STL format) is used for 3D printing in castable wax or resin.
STEP-3: Wax Prototyping & Modeling
In fine jewelry manufacturing, the wax model is the most critical bridge between a 2D design and the final solid gold masterpiece. At BeauxJewelryLab, we view the wax phase as the ultimate quality control checkpoint. We dedicate our time to perfecting the wax model so we never have to compromise on the final piece.
The Artisan’s Touch: Traditional Hand-Carved Wax, this traditional method for high-end bespoke pieces that emphasize pure craftsmanship, natural textures, irregular organic shapes, or specific vintage aesthetics.
Advanced 3D Wax Printing: Modern jewelry manufacturing uses high-precision 3D printing to produce wax patterns directly from CAD files, allowing for complex geometries such as filigree and hollow structures.
STEP-4: Lost-Wax Casting & Metal Pouring
Once the wax prototype is perfected and approved, we enter the most transformative stage of the bespoke journey: turning a fragile wax model into an eternal piece of precious metal. At Beaux Jewelry Lab, we utilize the ancient art of Lost-Wax Casting (Investment Casting), elevated by state-of-the-art thermal technology to ensure a flawless, high-density result.
Wax Prep & Molding: A detailed wax model is sprued and encased in liquid investment plaster to form a seamless mold.
Burnout & Casting: The mold is fired in a kiln to melt away the wax, leaving a hollow cavity that is immediately filled with molten precious metal.
Quenching & Finishing: After cooling, the plaster is broken away. The raw metal cast is then detached, filed, and masterfully polished to perfection.
STEP-5: Hand-Finishing & Assembly
This step is the crucial transformation from a raw "embryo" into its true "form." It is where rationality meets sensibility, giving the cold, rough metal a perfect skeleton, graceful lines, and a living soul long before the first gemstone is ever set.
Sculpting the Lines: Using traditional jeweler’s tools like precision scissors, files, and varying grits of emery paper, our master artisans painstakingly remove microscopic burrs, casting sprues, and surface flaws.
Precision Soldering & Assembly: If your bespoke piece consists of multiple intricate components, this is the moment they are united. Our jewelers use high-temperature precision torches to solder the parts together seamlessly.

Hand-finishing accounts for nearly 30% of the entire manufacturing time, and it ultimately dictates the final texture and luxurious feel of the jewelry. Machines may assist, but the artisan's hands always lead.
STEP-6: Accent Stone Matching
In the world of bespoke fine jewelry, a masterpiece is never defined by the center stone alone. Once your main gemstone (whether it is your own heirloom diamond or a colored gem sourced by us) is finalized, we enter one of the most meticulous phases of creation: Accent Stone Matching (Melee Sorting).
Color Harmony: We carefully grade the color of each tiny accent stone to ensure it flawlessly complements the center stone without causing any harsh visual contrasts or dullness.
Cut & Brilliance Matching: The fire of your jewelry depends on the cut. We source matching accent stones with identical proportions.
Precision Calibration (Size): This precise size calibration ensures a smooth, uniform pavé setting that elevates and highlights your center stone, rather than overpowering it.
Clarity Consistency: We meticulously match the clarity grade of the accent stones to align with your overall design and budget, ensuring a cohesive, crystal-clear texture across the entire piece.
STEP-7: Stone Setting
The true heartbeat of bespoke fine jewelry lies in the Stone Setting. This is the exhilarating moment when the curated gemstones finally meet their perfectly sculpted metal home. Stone setting is widely considered the absolute core of jewelry manufacturing. It requires breathtaking precision under a microscope.
At BeauxJewelryLab, our Panyu master setters are fluent in every traditional and modern setting technique, allowing us to grant your gemstone a completely different personality based on how it is mounted.
Preparation & Layout: Artisans precisely carve metal seats (bearings) and meticulously align the gemstones for a flawless fit.
Precision Setting: The surrounding metal—whether using prongs, bezels, or pavé beads—is expertly manipulated to securely lock the stones.
Refining & Inspection: The piece is polished under a microscope to eliminate tool marks, followed by rigorous quality checks.
STEP-8: Final Polishing & Plating
After the gemstones are securely set, the jewelry enters the finishing phase. This step is where the true luxury of the piece is revealed. Through meticulous polishing and precise electroplating, we transform the dull, worked metal into a breathtaking, radiant masterpiece with unparalleled shine and durability.
The Progressive Art of Polishing: At BeauxJewelryLab, we never skip steps throught Rough Polishing, Medium Polishing, Fine Polishing, Mirror Polishing to achieve a flawless, mirror-like surface.
After the master polish is complete, our artisans can apply specialized surface treatments to the metal upon your request, including: Hammered, Satin, Matte, Sandblasted, Brushed, Velvet, Stone-textured, or the classic Florentine finish.
Electroplating (The Protective Halo): It uses precise electrical currents, temperature, and timing to deposit a micro-layer of precious metal over the jewelry. It provides a vital protective shield against oxidation, increases wear resistance, and ensures brilliant color retention.
STEP-9: Quality Control
Before any bespoke piece is allowed to leave our Panyu laboratory and begin its journey to you, it must pass our uncompromising 4-Point Quality Control (QC) Inspection. Every single piece is scrutinized under 10x to 40x magnification by our senior inspectors to ensure it flawlessly matches your original CAD blueprint and our stringent manufacturing criteria.
Structural & Dimensional Accuracy: We use digital calipers to verify that the final piece dimensions are perfectly match the approved STEP-2 CAD specifications.
Stone Security & Alignment: We meticulously check every stone is seamlessly aligned, and no loose gems or sharp, snagging prongs under a microscope.
Surface & Finish Perfection: We inspect the metal surface for absolute flawlessness to achieve zero porosity, no hidden file marks from assembly, and the electroplating must be 100% even and radiant.
Aesthetic Harmony: The piece is evaluated under natural and studio lighting to ensure the overall brilliance, fire, and aesthetic harmony meet our luxury standards.
